APIS ATABEY

Apis Atabey is a 4.65 acre intergenerational huerto  (homestead) planted on the occupied lands of Seminole and Timucua peoples (colonially known as central Florida) and rooted in Boriké (colonially known as Puerto Rico). The landscape is home to an ancestral food forest, areyto (ceremonial) apiary, and apothecary garden. This triad emerged out of a deep desire to help birth a healed Earth for all beeings. Apis Atabey is a honeyed place for whole beeing healing and is a platform for social, environmental, and economic justice and solidarity. 

Together, Nitaino (my family) and I are tending the land, building the soil, and planting a variety of food staples, herbs, and fruit trees. We hope to offer produce and herb subscriptions as well workshops and volunteer opportunities in the future. For now, you can support the project by participating in Herball Reparations and shopping the Botánika full of herb and bee-infused elixirs, oils, and handcrafted ritual tools.
